My work is characterized by a sense of wonder and whimsy. My imagining of possibilities beyond our present reality is inherently linked to the expansiveness I have found within my queer identity.
I craft in relation to the human body, prioritizing tactile engagement over preciosity. The emotion-rich, experimental, and kinesthetic quality of my art is expressed across diverse media including paper mache sculpture, fiber arts, costume, and furniture design.
My collection of designed objects invites structured entry into transitory emotional landscapes that can be safely explored and shelved at will. My art attempts to compartmentalize and deepen my understanding of my emotional experiences, often extending an archetype of a feeling into hyperbole.
